History of the Stromberg Carlson 1500/2500
Introduction
Stromberg Carlson introduced the S-C 1500 in 1966, and the S-C
2500 in 1968. The changes at first mostly mirrored those of Western
Electric, but later models diverged in some ways, too.

- First year of production for the S-C model 1500
1968
- Shifted from model 1500 to model 2500.
1970????
- Shifted from W.E. color palette to a new, unknown one. HELP ME
DISCOVER THIS PALETTE!
- Shifted from metal screws to self-tapping screws for mounting
the housing????
1974
- Shifted from potted network to printed circuit
network????
1983????
- Name changed from Stromberg Carlson to Stromberg.
1984????
- Name changed from Stromberg to Comdial.
- Shifted to plastic cased receiver element???? I AM NOT SURE
ABOUT THIS. ALL I KNOW IS THEY DID SHIFT AT SOME POINT, SINCE MY
1984 COMDIAL PHONE HAS A PLASTIC RECEIVER ELEMENT IN IT. CAN
SOMEONE PINPOINT THIS CHANGE MORE EXACTLY FOR ME?
1991????
- Production ceased as Comdial is bought by Vertical???? NEED
