Hull #3-Ghost
Hull #6-Gryphon
Jeff and Raine Williams are still on their world cruise on a J40. They sent a picture of them going downwind off the coast of Madagascar.
You can read all about their trip at their website. Sure sounds like fun for the adventurous.
Hull#9-Atlantis
Alan Kanegsberg made a fine looking instrument pod for his J40 that others may want to try. From Alan:
"I made one out of a wood mold and fiberglass that matches the J42 and
mounts on the existing seahood. The previous owner sealed the seahood
with 5200 which makes removal impossible.
The wires go down into the molding of the port head to the area above
the wet locker. I have 3 Raytheon ST50 readouts and a Sailcomp.
Visibility is excellent from the helm or anywhere in the cockpit and
no one sits in from of them. Also, you can keep your eyes on the water
ahead of you and still see the instruments.
One last thing. When the weather is bad, we move the chartplotter to a
fitting on one of the cabintop winches and we sit in the companionway
under the dodger. We can see the instruments, we can see the radar by
the nav station, and we steer with the Autohelm remote. Warm and dry."
Hull #47-Soulmate, ex Argonaut
Sailed through the South Pacific by Chris and Manu Ditzen. Sold to Jacqueline Hope in Melbourne AU; Chris and Manu decided to take the fast way back. The boat is now in
Sandringham Yacht Club, Melbourne, Australia, ready to go again.
Hull #75 -Southern Cross, ex PipeDream
Wayne Cassady sent some photos of his trip bringing the former Pipe Dream back to the States and renaming her Southern Cross. Looks like lots of fun.
