2002 Annular Eclipse

Our trip to Mexico, just south of Puerto Vallarta on June 10, 2002 was frustrated by Hurricane Boris which was just off the coast.  We had to cross swollen rivers to get to the beach where we planned to view the eclipse.  We patently waited thinking all was lost.  At the very last moment, we watched the eclipsed sun set  through a hole in the clouds.
