Pacific Coast Motorcycle/Men's Club - Los Angeles Gay Uniform/Leather/Denim/Bikers/Bears Friends PCMC

One of Los Angeles' foremost gay men's social organizations, the Pacific Coast Motor Club was founded in 1970 in response to the need for an alternative outlet for gay men to socialize comfortably. The name was soon changed to Pacific Coast Motorcycle Club, but long ago the club's horizons widened beyond motorcycling; the original requirement for bikes was dropped, and our members have a broad diversity of interests. In the '90s the name was changed again, to Pacific Coast Men's Club. PCMC retains a modest version of the original uniform out of tradition, but now we are a social group; we have long-lasting fraternal connections to the community, but this club has no special bent for (or opposition against) motorcycles, leather, uniforms, bears, nudists, cowboys, fairies, theatrics,...... our far-flung friends enjoy a special community camaraderie together. All kinds of guys - single and couples - attend our events. Some become members, some are involved with other groups, many just visit year after year. With guidance from some of our original founding men, we continue to carry the flag, and we graciously welcome fellows who wish to participate in Friendship, Fun and Contribution to the Community.

Today there are numerous gay groups of every possible kind, but PCMC's Main Objectives, defined long ago, remain simply: 1) one or more annual Outings in the Southern California Wilderness, with the Delight of rustic Camping, the Pleasure of Fine Food, the Enjoyment of Quality Libation and most of all, the beautiful Company of Good Men! 2) monthly Dinner Meetings to discuss club business and plan events. 3) making Contributions to club-approved Charities from funds derived from Beer Busts and other Events. Also, quite importantly, we maintain rapport and social interaction with many other related Social Organizations throughout the continent.
