Accessibility for Service Animals
In violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, many businesses across the country
continue to prohibit individuals with service animals from entering their premises. The
Disability Rights Task Force has prepared a document providing specific information about
the legal requirements of this topic to assist businesses in complying voluntarily.

Assistance Dog Special Allowance Program
People with a guide, signal or other service dog may be entitled to receive financial
assistance through this program in California. You can get more information and help completing the
application from your county welfare department, local Independent Living Centers and
other consumer based programs.

Guide Dogs for the Blind

Guide Dog User, Inc. (GDUI)

"The Braille Forum," the magazine of the American Council of the Blind and
