Get Involved

There are several things you can do to help make InfoML a reality:

  • Join the InfoML mailing list to discuss the design of the InfoML standard and potential uses of InfoML technology.
  • Help develop the first InfoML tools.
  • Start your own InfoML-based open-source projects and commercial InfoML-based applications.
  • Spread the news of InfoMLto anyone you think might be interested in it.

Although the InfoML community definitely needs programmers, you don't need to be technical to contribute to it. We need to hear from potential end users. If you're a teacher, a student, a lawyer, a nurse, a small-business owner, an accountant, what kind of InfoML-based software would make you more productive? More creative? More successful?

If you're interested in InfoML, please send me an e-mail at greggw@InfoML.org.

The first InfoML-related project, InfoML Tools, is hosted on SourceForge at http://sourceforge.net/projects/infomltools/. If you are technically minded and want to contribute, the first piece of work is to refine the InfoML schema. You can read about the schema and make comments on it by going to http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=293410.
