One of Krista's favorite things to do is swim. She's been on teams in Arcadia, Glendora and Azusa. She worked long and hard to increase her racing speed in free style, butterfly, breast stroke and back stroke. At one time she had the fastest butterfly time for her age group in all Southern California.
At Cornerstone Bible Church, Krista has been a part of all the Student Choirs which specialize in creative movement and part singing. She performs solos, special music and has led worship with the Sunday Morning Worship Band. Along with her sister and three other friends, she formed a vocal group called Access. The group performs special music on Sundays and has been featured at Cornerstone's Harvest Banquet at Azusa Pacific University. Krista teaches music and choreography to the Grade School Choir at church, and choreographs the Z-motion Dance Team.
Creative writing is a skill that Krista is blessed with. She can spin a story around most any topic and do so in a very interesting fashion. She also played the violin at school, learned to read music, and played in the string ensemble.
Krista knows how to have fun and she attacks life full speed. This is evident in her snow skiing. She has been skiing with her family since she could walk. She likes Badger Pass in Yosemite, but has also skiied at Sierra Summit and June Mountain in California. She also enjoys snowboarding.
Krista played an orphan in the musical Annie Jr. After six weeks of daily vocal rehearsals, dance workouts, and acting lessons, the final performance at La Verne University was very impressive.
Summer camp is always a highlight of the year. Krista has enjoyed both Indian Village and Adventure Mountain at Forest Home. The last two years she attended Camp at Hume Lake.Girls Scouts was a great experience for Krista. She's been on several outings including a trip to Catalina Island, a few camping trips, and a weekend at the Lazy J Ranch. Although a horse bit her at that ranch, she still loves to go horse back riding.
At school, Krista played the role of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. The experience prompted growth in her singing and acting. It also capped her final year before Jr High. Next She played a part in Music Man at the Candlelight Pavillion in Claremont. Since then, Krista has played a lead roles in two MARMAC performance, the most recent at Azusa Pacific University.Krista sang three years in the Jr High show choir "Golden Notes," a year in "Silhouettes" as a freshman, and is now in "Royal Stewarts," the top audition show choir at school. She also tours with the Christian Missions team Young Continentals for six-week trips the summer of 2004, 2005 and 2006. She is excited to be using her gifts and talents to reach others for Christ for her third 5-week mission trip. This summer to the Western US. Krista loves Jesus Christ and has dedicated her life to serving Him.
